I live in New Jersey USA now. I lived in the UK for 25 years, between 1961 and 1986. I had an Austin as seen in the video, and traedd it for a Wolseley 18/85. Both were relatively comfortable cars to run. They were cheap to fix, and could run through brick walls. They fell short of speed for the motorways. The Wolseley Six solved the problem. By then it was too late, the rice burners were upon us. I still have not forgiven them for Pearl Harbour. I only buy Ford or GM now.

superb video . there were better coluor schemes on cars back then i thought . i'm nearly 48 so fortuneately can remember , the a60 s and farina's on the road . i own up to wrecking a 1968 registered a60 cambridge , banger racing when i was younger. ONLY DID THE ONE THOUGH . they've got a good engine in them and they'r built like tanks . that's why they'r dubbed the banger drivers favourite. but sadlly , if we look at the other side of the coin , if we aint careful there ll be none left .

Thank you very much for your insigthful cmnmeot Babs. And you're right, it's cultural. I think one of the most important lessons you learn by moving away from your home country is that you really get to re-evaluate and question things you used to take for granted. Traditions you almost took to be a priori universal truths. (Like babies outside in the cold or your right to discretely breastfeed in public).I now understand that when I wear fur in the UK I need to be prepared to defend myself, and who knows I might even change my mind about vintage fur if people approach me in a constructive way (like the second person you mentioned). But if they're aggressive and shouting at me they're not worth my time. And I've experienced that a lot. And the double standards (like the ones you mentioned) they really piss me off. Some people need to take a really, really good look at themselves before they start attacking other people on the street because of their personal choices. There are better ways to get your message through.

It's cultural. Years ago, and disepte being full out against the fur trade at one point, I traveled back to England from a trip to Scandinavia wearing a vintage suede coat with a massive fur collar. I was experimenting with the it's okay if it's very old fur'. I wanted to wear it, I was doing the retro '70s in the '90s thing and it went very well with my bell-bottoms and platforms. I like to be free to change course, I like to be open minded. I reserve the right to wear what I want, regardless of animals killed for the garment or in the case of mass produced fashion hours slaved in sweat shops by under-appreciated workers. If a burka is what I want to wear, I will wear a burka. If I want to wear a bikini, I will wear a bikini. I wore the old fur in England for about an hour and twenty minutes before being told in no uncertain terms by two (independent of each other) passers by what it looked like I was wearing (I won't repeat the comments, I'm not going to pass on a rehashed lecture, but one was out and out yelling (and had the person had red paint to hand I am sure it would have been all over me), the other was calmly and careful enunciated, facts figured and spoken with a hint of a reasonable Come on, think about it. ). I took the old fur off and gave it a decent burial. It's cultural.It's a myth that animal rights campaigners set mink free in the wild. It's more likely to be the fur farmers themselves, they are an odd lot. Or the work of rare individuals who are somewhat misguided.Most of us animal rights campaigners want to see a total end to the fur trade, and Denmark's status as being one of the world's top producers of animal skins is repugnant. But fur sells. It's a look that is coveted. So I suppose we try to settle with raising awareness about the conditions the animals are kept in, campaigning for better conditions for the animals during their short cramped lives and at the time of their deaths and promoting fashion that doesn't involve fur or animal skin. It's an inescapable fact that wearing fur in Denmark is not a risky thing. Wearing fur in the UK is a statement, and we have to have our arguments ready.Isn't it weird how people don't freak about leathers and sheepskins though, you never hear about someone getting hissed at for wearing leather boots? Double standards, as always, and it's worth testing the boundaries so I appreciate the artistic statement you are making in wearing fur. But yeah, we don't do fur in England like we don't do Golly Wogs'

Yeah, I used ircomm-tty. On the phone I just enabeld IrDA and placed it it front of my computers IrDA port.On the computer I loaded the proper modules (irda, irtty-sir, ircomm-tty with modprobe) and ran `irattach /dev/ttyS1 -s`, which gave me /dev/ircomm0, which I could then mount with `mount -t siefs /dev/ircomm0 /mnt/phone`.One stupid thing was that I forgot to check whether IrDA was enabeld in my BIOS. It was not Depending on your setup you might have to irattach another device than /dev/ttyS1, which is the infrared serial thingy (on my system). But I'm sure you'll figure that out.

I too have found it very difficult to get an album set up for the 6×4.5 size. 6×4 is still the standard.Most of the photo printing shops automatically crop off 1/4 in. on each side of the long edge to give 6×4 prints (whether you like it or not!).Right now I have my camera set for 3:2 aspect ratio, so I frame and get 6×4′s. At least the print shop will not crop off somebody’s head!The only other solution I found was to get an album with single large pages, then put a couple of 6×4.5′s together on each page.Good Luck

It’s more likely to be the fur farmers themselves, they are an odd lot. Or the work of rare individuals who are somewhat misguided.Most of us animal rights campaigners want to see a total end to the fur trade, and Denmark’s status as being one of the world’s top producers of animal skins is repugnant. But fur sells. It’s a look that is coveted. So I suppose we try to settle with raising awareness about the conditions the animals are kept in, campaigning for better conditions for the animals during their short cramped lives and at the time of their deaths and promoting fashion that doesn’t involve fur or animal skin. It’s an inescapable fact that wearing fur in Denmark is not a risky thing. Wearing fur in the UK is a statement, and we have to have our arguments ready.Isn’t it weird how people don’t freak about leathers and sheepskins though, you never hear about someone getting hissed at for wearing leather boots? Double standards, as always, and it’s worth testing the boundaries so I appreciate the artistic statement you are making in wearing fur. But yeah, we don’t do fur in England like we don’t do ‘Golly Wogs’

I too have found it very difficult to get an album set up for the 6 4.5 size. 6 4 is still the stdraand.Most of the photo printing shops automatically crop off 1/4 in. on each side of the long edge to give 6 4 prints (whether you like it or not!).Right now I have my camera set for 3:2 aspect ratio, so I frame and get 6 4 s. At least the print shop will not crop off somebody's head!The only other solution I found was to get an album with single large pages, then put a couple of 6 4.5 s together on each page.Good Luck
